Jewel of the Seas Greek Isles - Our final day in Rome 2019

Image
one of the couples in the shuttle were from our roll call (hi Mark and wife!!!) so we got to talk about the trip, our plans and lives a bit on the way. We had emailed a lot prior to the cruise, had been trying to say hi all week, and it just hadn’t worked. Such a wonderful drive and convo. before we knew it the driver had stopped and named our hotel. Hotel Otivm is a very short distance from Altar to the Fatherland is located in Palazzo Venezia. View from outside the hotel door: Since it was only before 11 we left our bags with the clerk and went off to galavant. Nate has to recreate his picture from last year Back in May a friend of Nate’s took a security job on the military base in northern Italy so he and his family packed up and moved from Colorado. When they found out we were going to be in Rome they rented themselves and Air BnB and drive down for the weekend. I texted the wife on what’s app and told them to meet us in front of the building “that looks like a big white cake”.

Positano, Italy was everything I had dreamed and beyond

Instead of dropping us off at the top of Positano Chiro drove down so that we would be closer to the bottom...it was hot and he knew we’d die! We had an hour and 15 minutes before we had to meet back up. I had one specific goal in mind and set us in that direction. Along the way: Across from this store is a WC: one of my favorite photos: Nate’s version of that photo: we’re getting closer to my goal We left off with arriving at my destination. I’m not sure if I was more excited to see it in person myself or to see Nates jaw drop...It had been doing that all day along with mine y’all I can’t even tell you. pictures do NOT do the beauty of this place justice.  We had about 25 minutes until our meet up time...but but but WE DON’T WANNA LEAVE     Nate bought himself a pair of house shoes in this store: I was SO hot! Bought these at the stand in the parking lot where we met Anna and Chiro. It was expensive. I think 7 or 8 euro. Tip: don’t got to the stand at the parking garage! Back
