Jewel of the Seas Greek Isles - Mykonos Part 1

Image
The following morning we awoke in Mykonos, ran up to the buffet to eat some breakfast and watched a little of us docking from our balcony.  I got instantly excited at the first peak of white washed buildings. The ship docks a bit aways from town and you have two options or three I guess: walk, shuttle bus, water taxi. We opted for the water taxi which can easily be seen as soon as you walk off the ship. The cost was 4euros each round trip. Off in the distance we could see the other ships in port with us that were tendering in: We arrived at the dock and instantly fell in love.  Lining up the shot: Remember how I said he's the animal whisperer? how much more authentic can you get than this? We've barely even made it off the dock! More to come.

Sea Day - Jewel of the Seas Greek Isles

The next day was a sea day and well ummm we slept until noon.  After we grabbed some lunch we went to walk the ship Nate is somewhat of a animal whisperer…he’s never met an animal who doesn’t like him or want to come near him. We were walking the top deck and came across a baby bird struggling to walk. It had fallen out of its nest in the funnel. Nate gave it water from the tip of his finger and the baby slept for about 5 minutes before flying away. It just needed a nap and some water Dinner that night was a great menu but we were sat next to an incredibly rude couple which made the meal unenjoyable…we were excited to sleep that night because the next day was Mykonos!
