Greek Isles 2019 Mykonos for the day
The day after our visit to Chania found us in Mykonos, a port we had loved last year.
We
woke at 6 and saw the sunrise. We're generally not up with the sunrise on
vacation...or at least happy about it...but on this trip we saw more
sunrises than we ever have.
We got off the ship at 7:30 and realized the seabus didn’t start until 9...we
were a little in a sleep haze irritation and decided to just start
walking. google maps said it wasn’t more than 30 minutes to town. This
turned out to be one amazing accident let me tell y’all!
We got to old town and it was vacant! The only signs of life were the fishermen and shop owners getting ready for the day. This was prime photo opportunity. I knew I wanted photos of little venice that we had missed last time so I told Nate to navigate and find it for me.
It was so quiet! So incredibly peaceful.
The only sound was the water hitting against barriers of the homes.
The man in the shop under the windmills was so kind! I told him I
remembered his little shop from our visit last year and had to come back
for another magnet...after I checked out he gave me a keychain and
thanked me for returning.
This beautiful Windstar yacht was tendering

There were still very few people out! We were able to get people free shots at the windmills!
Nate bought some olive oil wood gifts from this shop
We’re just wandering along and boom...Mykonos' pelican mascot walks in front of us
There’s a windmill at the very top of the hill and we decided to hike up there
we got back down and paid the 2euros each for the seabus back to the ship
We got back on ship, ate a snack, hit the gym n then we’re going to go
to the pool but Nate suggested we go down to the little beach directly
in front of the ship. It was 4pm and BOB was 6:30. Off we went and it
was incredible! Mykonos could not have been any better
