The mixed salad was amazing!!! ignoring any concept you have of a salad...I even asked them for the dressing ingredients

oh but wait...we can’t leave. The waiter, Amilio, brings us this:

he said it’s a pasta soaked in sorbet with walnut and pistachio. We died and went to heaven.

I have no idea how much we paid for that meal...we weren’t charged for the shot or the dessert. I know we definitely didn’t over pay. I’d have to look at my credit card statement.I know we gave Amilio a promise we would leave a great review on trip advisor and we handed him some extra euros.

It was time to make our way down the donkey trail. We passed the line for the cable cars and it was even longer than it was earlier.

Last year when we walked down we were able to stop and enjoy the views...This year it felt like we were cattle. There were so many people because of all the ships in port.

we were tired, hot, a little annoyed by all the people (some of them shouting out rude comments to the donkey handlers and then walking away...like if you’re gonna shout something rude why not stay and have an adult conversation?!!!) and back on board at 4:30.

We went straight to the room and napped until about 5:45. Nate stayed in the room and I went out and read a little in the atrium and then wandered the ship until about 9.

Greek Isles 2019 Formal Night & Chania, Crete

 Time for our first formal night! Once Nate’s clothes showed up he did a quick change and we were ready to go.     According to wiki: Chania is the second largest city in Crete and dates back to 1100BC. The occupied history of the city is rather sad and worth the read...especially the section on World War II....which hit home for us because Nate’s grandmother is Jewish and was forced to leave Austria for China as a teen. We got up at 7 and just caught the sunrise as we went to breakfast   The harbor reminded me a lot of Cabo mixed with a little Malta to be honest.     After finishing our meal and taking advantage of the restaurant’s WC we continued our walking tour through the streets of Chania. We would definitely go back to Crete. It's very different from any other island we have visited and is saturated in history. Ireland Day 6: Blarney Castle and on to Cork

It took me around 6 months to plan my trip and a year's worth of hard work and saving, but I poured my heart into each and every moment of planning.  And now, there are only 2 days left. I can't believe it.  It has all been incredibly worth it. We left the Randles Court this morning a little after 8 and decided to just hit the road for Blarney Castle.  I had previously planned on us eating lunch in Blarney at the Muskerry Arms.  We pulled into Blarney around 10am and decided to just eat brunch there instead.  We had the restaurant practically to ourselves which was nice. A continental breakfast of fruits and cereals and brown bread was provided and then we were able to order off the hot menu in addition.  Both of us ordered omelets...I didn't get a picture of the omelet because I was too hungry and wolfed it down.  The brown bread here was FAR superior to the brown bread of yesterday and the omelet was delicious. I would definitely recommend this rest...

A Few Of My Favorite Things

So this entry isn't really about a specific craft.  This week I'm trying to focus on positivity, and so, to brighten my day, these are a few of my favorite things to reflect upon: 1) the satisfaction I feel in knowing that something I have made is truly enjoyed by the person receiving it.  Whether that be a card, a trinket box, or a food dish. 2) the fun of curling up on my couch with a blanket and all the lights off except for the Christmas tree.  so peaceful. 3) the peace that never ceases to amaze me while I'm singing in worship 4)I may not have what some consider a lot of friends, but I'm completely blessed with the friends that I do have.  Quality, not quantity. 5) Where I was in my life 3 years ago and where I am now.  What a difference.  Thank you God that I'm never going back there.
