Tampa 2017 Continued

We spent the next couple of days with quality family time with my grandma, aunt, uncle, cousins, and my aunt & uncle from Oklahoma who actually happened to be in town at the same time.  My cousin had her first baby in January 2017 so this was also an opportunity to meet her and get lots of baby snuggles.

My cousin's fiance's dad owns a boat and we took it out for a leisurely couple hours on the water.

The last night we spent walking down to the water to take in the sunset. It was incredible.

We headed back to Orlando and stayed at a hole in the wall hotel by the airport for the final night because we had a very early flight the next morning...all i can say is you get what you pay for when it comes to hotels in Orlando...next time I'm in Orlando I will definitely not be looking at hotels in that low price range.

Greek Isles 2019 Formal Night & Chania, Crete

 Time for our first formal night! Once Nate’s clothes showed up he did a quick change and we were ready to go.     According to wiki: Chania is the second largest city in Crete and dates back to 1100BC. The occupied history of the city is rather sad and worth the read...especially the section on World War II....which hit home for us because Nate’s grandmother is Jewish and was forced to leave Austria for China as a teen. We got up at 7 and just caught the sunrise as we went to breakfast   The harbor reminded me a lot of Cabo mixed with a little Malta to be honest.     After finishing our meal and taking advantage of the restaurant’s WC we continued our walking tour through the streets of Chania. We would definitely go back to Crete. It's very different from any other island we have visited and is saturated in history. United Polaris Class Travel Day to Athens During COVID-19

  We woke up at 4:30am on October 4, 2021, and spent a few minutes snuggling with our schnauzer, Sam, before we had to head out for the 1.5 hour drive to Denver.   We pulled into the park dia lot at 6am and a shuttle promptly pulled in behind us. talk about timing! It was a full shuttle ride with a family heading to Disneyland and a southwest pilot. This was probably the best shuttle ride we’ve ever had! The pilot pulled out his iPad and showed the family the route they would go to get to Cali and how the plane would be guided in on the runway. It was actually really neat to watch. We all gave him a huge thank you for starting our day that way. Once dropped at the airport we headed straight to the United desk. I was expecting to see barely any employees but that was not the case! Every kiosk had a person plus they had 4 people manning the digital stations. Jewel of the Seas Greek Isles - Naples Part 2

When the bus dropped us off back at port we set out to explore the town. We went up into residential areas...school kids were walking home, men were standing on the corners having a smoke and chatting, corner veggie stands with people picking up veggies for the night’ dinner... It wasn't really a cold day, but it was quite windy.  I was in jeans and a jacket for most of it. We stumbled (literally stumbled) into Galleria Umberto, the world's oldest shopping mall, and our jaws dropped at the sheer beauty and architecture of it. signs on the non tourist streets of Naples: We were growing hungry again so headed back to the shopping area to find that classic Naples pizza for me. We tried 2 different places, but both were disappointing to be honest.
