Oia, Santorini - Jewel of the Seas Greek Isles 2018
Leading up to the cruise I researched the different ways to explore Santorini.
1) ship excursion
2) cable car up to Fira and bus or taxi to Oia
3) private excursion
4) speed boat to Oia and bus to Fira with either cable car down or walk the steps down
I chose option 4. I booked the Aegean Traveler on their website for an 8:30am ride for 15euro each. The speed boat (that’s not a speed boat) picks up at the tender port and then takes you to the base of Oia where they then provide a bus to the top.
We woke up at 6:30, ate a quick breakfast, and caught the first tender to shore. I went into the Aegean traveler office, gave them my printed ppwk and they checked my name off the list, gave me the voucher to get on the boat.

the speed boat:
Nate and I tried to be first to the top of the small hill so that we could get first seats on the bus we were so excited!
I searched forever for the right dress to wear in Santorini and found this beauty at Dillards during a sale:
one of my favorite pictures:
We stopped at a café while waiting for the shuttle to fira. Nate ordered a ham sandwich and Mythos, a greek beer. This is where he first tried it and became a quick fan.
Next up will be Fira, Santorini. So far Santorini was everything we had dreamed of. It was peaceful even though it was crowded, the views are indescribable, and it was incredibly hard to leave after only one day.
